 Description

The Season Settings page is used to specify the season start and end dates, game duration, and other constraints for scheduling.

 Controls

• Schedule Name page
  Allows you to change the name of the schedule and also specify which master schedule and league to use.
  
  
• Game Sets page
  Lets you create the team pairings.
  
  
• Officials page
  If officials should be schedule, this screen allows you to specify which ones and how many per game.
  
  
• Schedule Now page
  Allows you to have RRS automatically schedule the games.
  
  
• Season Start Date button
  Allows you to set the season start date by displaying the Select Date dialog.
  
  
• Season End Date check box
  Checking this box enables the Season End Date button allowing you to specify the season end date. If you don't specify an end date, the scheduler try to choose the minimum amount of time necessary to schedule your league.
  
  
• Season End Date button
  Allows you to set the season end date by displaying the Select Date dialog.
  
  
• Game Duration edit
  Specify the number of minutes required to play the game.
  
  
• Balance game start times for each team check box
  Check this box if you you have multiple start times a day during the season, and you would like each team to play approximately the same number of games at each start time (so one team doesn't get stuck with all early or late games).
  
  
• Balance Home/Away frequency, maximum streak: check box
  Checking this item enables the corresponding edit box.
  
  
• Balance Home/Away frequency edit
  Enter the maximum number of home or away games that can be in a row for the schedule. If each of your teams have a different home field, you probably want to enable this requirement. Enabling this requirement will make scheduling take longer.
  
  
• Minimum rest time before the start of the next game check box
  Checking this item enables the corresponding edit box.
  
  
• Minimum rest time before the start of the next game edit
  Allows you to specify the number of days to wait before scheduling another game for the same team.
  
  
• Min rest time before start of next game edit
  If Allow Double Headers is checked, specify the number of minutes of rest time that should be scheduled between team games.
  
  
• Schedule double-headers at the same field check box
  Check this item if double-headers must be scheduled at the same field. If your fields are sufficiently close together, it may be ok to schedule double headers at different fields.
  
  
• Don't schedule teams with the same contact person at the same time check box
  Check this option if you have coaches coaching more than one team. You will need to create a contact for each coach, and assign the coaches to each team for this setting to work.
  
  
• Max team games a day edit
  The maximum number of games a team can play in one day. If you would like teams to play more than once a day, increase this number and also make sure each team has more than one start time created for the days they should play more than one game.
  
  
• Max team games per week edit
  Allows you to specify the maximum number of games to schedule per team a week.
  
  
• Max league games per day check box
  Checking this item enables the corresponding edit box.
  
  
• Max league games per day edit
  Allows you to specify the maximum number of games to schedule a day for this league.
  
  
• Max league games per week check box
  Checking this item enables the corresponding edit box.
  
  
• Max league games per week edit
  Allows you to specify the maximum number of games to schedule per week for this league.
  
  
• Ignore Official's team constraints check box
  If you have set up team constraints for an official, checking this option will cause the scheduling to ignore the constraints when scheduling.
  
  
• OK button 
  Saves the changes.
  
  
• Cancel button 
  Close the dialog discarding changes.
  

 Displaying

The Create/Edit Season Schedule dialog is displayed whenever you choose to create or edit a season schedule. This may be from the New dialog, the Creation Toolbar, and even the Project Tree. Click the Settings tab to display this page.
