You can configure how many points are awarded for a win, loss, tie, and overtime loss. You can also choose which tie breaker methods should be used, and in what order, to determine rank.
Tie Breaker Method | Description |
Higher Points For | The team that has scored the most points (goals, runs, etc) will be rated better than another team with fewer points scored. |
Lower Points Against | The team that has the least points scored against them (goals, runs, etc) will be rated better than another team with more points scored against them. |
Point Differential | The team with the greater point differential (meaning the largest difference of Points For minus Points Against) will be rated better. |
Total Points | The team with the higher total points is rated better (calculated by the number of wins * pts for win + losses * pts for losses + ties * pts for ties + overtime losses * pts for OTLosses) |
Win/Loss Percentage | The team with the higher win/loss percentage is rated better (that is, closer to 1.0) |
