Description
Use the Schedule Now page to have the Team Sports Scheduling
System schedule your season automatically. Simply click the Start
Scheduling button. If you would like to schedule the games
manually, just click the OK or Finish button without
clicking the Start Scheduling button.
Controls

Schedule Name
page
Allows you to change the name of the schedule and also specify which master
schedule and league to use.

Game Sets
page
Lets you create the team pairings.

Officials
page
If officials should be schedule, this screen allows you to specify which ones
and how many per game.

Settings
page
Change the season dates and other constraints.

Total number of games to schedule information display
Displays the total number of games to schedule in all the
created game sets.

Advanced button
Allows you to customize how long to scheduler runs by
displaying the Advanced
Schedule Settings dialog.

Number of games scheduled information display
Displays the number of games currently scheduled by the
scheduler.

Number of games unscheduled information display
Displays the number of games still unscheduled by the
scheduler.

Best Rating information display
A rating for the current schedule based on the number of
games to schedule, the current schedule's score, and other
factors. The following ratings may be displayed while
scheduling your season:
- Perfect - The current schedule has a score of
zero meaning it is not violating any of the rules
specified in the Settings
and Scheduling
Penalty Values.
- Great - This schedule is quite good and can
probably be used as your season schedule.
- Good - This schedule is good, but could be
better. You may want to use this as your season
schedule.
- Fair - This schedule isn't so good but could be
worse.
- Poor - This schedule is pretty bad and you
wouldn't want to use this as a season schedule. A rating
consistently of poor usually means there are problems
with the set up of the league. Double check to make sure
there is enough available time, fields, and dates to
play the selected number of games.
- Terrible - A schedule that stays at the
Terrible rating for a length of generations usually
means there are problems with the set up of the league,
teams, fields, or officials. Double check to make sure
there is enough available time, fields, and dates to
play the selected number of games.

Best Score information display
Displays the numerical rating of the current best schedule.
The numerical rating is calculated from the Scheduling
Penalty Values and the constraints on the Settings
page. The lower the score, the better the schedule.

Schedule Now/Stop Scheduling button
Starts or stops the scheduler.

Current generation information display
The number of scheduling combinations already tried by the
scheduler. You can specify how many combinations the
scheduler should try by clicking the Advanced button.

Elapsed time information display
The amount of time spent on this scheduling attempt.

OK button
Saves the changes.

Cancel button
Close the dialog discarding changes.
Displaying
The Create/Edit Season Schedule dialog is displayed whenever you
choose to create or edit a season schedule. This may be from the New
dialog, the Creation
Toolbar, and even the Project
Tree. Click the Schedule Now tab to display this page.
