Teams - How Do I?
To create a new team, select File from the menu, then click New The New dialog is displayed. From the list, select Team, and then choose OK.
The Create Team dialog is displayed. The wizard will guide you through creating your new team.
Note: You must create a league before you can create a team.
How do I add a contact person to a team?
To add a contact person to a team, follow these steps:
Select the league in the Project Tree and click the Edit button.
When the Edit Team dialog appears, click the Contact/Sponsor tab.
If the contact person has already been created, click the Find button. The Contact and Sponsor List dialog is displayed. Find and select the person (or persons) from the list, and click OK.
If the contact person has not been created yet, click the New button. The New Contact dialog is displayed. Enter the relevant information for the new contact and click OK.
To save changes to the team click the OK button.
How do I move teams to different divisions?
To move teams from one division to another, follow these steps:
Select the league who's teams you wish to move from the Project Tree, and click the Edit button.
When the Edit League dialog is displayed, click the Team Divisions tab.
In the Divisions list, select the division that has the teams you wish to move.
In the Teams list, select the teams you wish to move and click the Move button.
The Select Division dialog is displayed. Select the division you wish to move the teams to from the combo box, and click OK.
The teams have now been moved to the new division. Click OK to save your changes to the league.
How do I move teams to different leagues?
Once a team has been created, it can't be moved to a different league. You will need to create a new team instead.
To schedule a team, you must first enter all the fields, divisions, and teams that will be used for scheduling into the system. Make sure you have marked the game start times for the league, teams, and fields.
To create a new schedule, select File from the menu, then click New The New dialog is displayed. From the list, select Schedule, and then choose OK.
The Create Schedule dialog is displayed. The wizard will guide you through creating your new schedule.
Note: You must create the fields, teams, and a league before you can create a schedule.
How do I select which teams/divisions play each other when scheduling?
To select which teams and divisions play each other in a season, you need to create a Game Set. To do so:
Create a new schedule, or edit a schedule that has already been created.
On the Game Sets dialog, select the teams and opponents from the two list boxes.
Click the Create Game Set button. The Enter Number dialog is displayed.
Enter the number of times the selected teams will play each other and click OK.
The game set is added to the Created Game Sets list box.
Example: I have Team1-Team10 listed in the teams and opponents list boxes. I want Team1-Team5 to play Team6-Team10 two times for a total of 50 games. To do this, I first select Teams 1-5 in the first list box (hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while selecting teams with your mouse), and then select teams 6-10 in the opponents list box. I then click the Create Game Sets button, enter 2 when asked, and click OK. My game set has now been created.
How do I view the scheduled events for a league/team/field?
To view the scheduled games for a league, field, or a team, follow these steps:
Select the league, field, or team who's games you wish to view from the Project Tree.
Click the View Schedule button (located just above the tree control).
The Day View and Report View are now customized to display only the games for the selected league, field, or team.
You can also use the controls on the Day View or Report View to customize what events are displayed in the list.
How do I mark time as available for a league/field/team?
To select available time for a league, field, or a team, you need to modify the Availability. To do so, follow these steps:
Select the league, field, or team who's availability you wish to edit, and click the Edit button.
When the dialog displays, click the Availability tab.
From the calendar, select the date you wish to modify the availability for.
From the Available Times list, select the times you wish to mark as available. Use the Ctrl and Shift keys on your keyboard to select multiple times. Or, you can type in the available time in the Selected Times edit box. To do so, use (24 hour format and) the following format: H:MM - H:MM; For example, say I want to select 8 AM to 5 PM as available. I would key it in as: 8:00 - 17:00;
Click OK to save changes.
How do I print out a division/teams standings?
To printout a division or team's standing, use the Report Wizard. To do so, select File from the menu, and click Report Wizard The Report Wizard is displayed. Click the Standings radio button, and follow the directions on screen.
How do I edit a league/team/field/contact?
To edit a league, team, field, or contact, select the item you wish to edit in the Project tree, and click the Edit button. The item's Edit Dialog will be displayed. Make your changes and click OK to save.
How do I delete a league/team/field/division/contact/schedule/season setting?
To delete a league, team, field, division, contact, schedule, or season setting, select the item in the Project tree and click the Delete button.
How do I specify a home field for a team?
To specify a home field for a team, follow these steps.
Create or edit a team.
On the Fields page, select the Home Field radio button.
Select the home field from the combo box.
How do I allow a team to play at a certain few fields?
To allow a team to play home games at more than one field, follow these steps.
Create or edit a team.
On the Fields page, either select Use the league's list of prioritized fields for this team's game locations (if you have setup the league for this), or select This team must set it's own priority for fields.
If you chose to set the team's own priority for fields, then prioritize the listed fields. A 1 is high priority, while a 10 is the lowest priority level.
